Cranberry & Prosecco Sausage

Matt Elkington our new Sales Manager has a way of thinking outside the box and with some crazy ideas he has helped his local butcher go viral on the internet.  It all started with a stuffing idea that was mentioned in our sales office at Terry Foods and Matt took the idea to his local butcher who turned it into the most popular sausage they now produce.

Cranberry and Prosecco Sausages started as an over the counter conversation with Steve the local butcher in Leasingham, Lincolnshire.  After a few samples of cranberries and a bottle of prosecco Steve presented Matt with a sample batch to try one weekend.  The feedback was WOW!  So now Steve and Father-in-Law John had the task of making sure the sausage sold over the counter.  After a big push over the Christmas period it became apparent that the sausage was very popular and when they decided to take it off the shelf after Christmas customers kept asking for more.

This has been a great success for North End Butchers at the Leasingham Manor Farm Shop and after a facebook post the local papers got hold of it and the story hit the internet.  Even the Express and The Sun newspapers picked up on the story.

This is not the first-time Matt and North End Butchers have worked together, Toffee and Apple Sausage was another idea that John and his son Gareth had a couple of years ago, they made the sausage and when Matt spoke with them and sold them the Apple Dice it transformed the sausage and is still a big a seller for them, this was just a Halloween idea and it sells all year round.

Terry Foods are proud to have members of staff that promote this way of thinking and it shows that our company are not here only to sell ingredients but help develop products and ideas which enable companies to grow.

With over 20 years of experience in our sales team we understand how to do this and turn a seed into an oak tree!

Well done Matt.
